- Under the Authority of Federal Acquisitions Regulations, Part 6, Subparts 6.302, the U.S. Census Bureau intends to contract with Computer Power Cabling Company (CPC) on a sole source basis to provide electrical cables. The Census Bureau has used various vendors that are not local and found that due to distance the requirment are better timely fulfilled for emergencies and critical time frames with a local vendor. The U.S. Census Bureau's need for the supplies or services is of such an unusual and compelling urgency that the government would be seriously injured unless the agency is permitted to limit the number of sources from which solicits bids or proposals. Any response to this notice must show clearr and convincing evidence that competition would be adventageous to the Government. In doing so, interested parties must submit technical capabilities, pricing and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Census Bureau's needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the U.S. Census Bureau, Acquisition Division, 4600 Silver Hill Road, Room 3J446D Attn: Victor Thomas, Washington, D.C. 20233, or by email to victor.levi.thomas@census.gov. No phone inquiries will be accepted. This synopsis will be awarded on the basis of offers recieved in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is recieved within 15 days from the publication of this synopsis, a contract may be issued to CPC without further notice.
