Description
Statement of Work : Provide technical and scientific services, consulting, planning, and training in the preparation, execution, and postoperational phases of field exercises involving chemical, biological, or explosive events. Work will primarily be at the Nevada Test Site (NTS). Support will be for currently active and future approved activities. The need for immediate hands-on support precludes the ability to provide on-site training for potential candidates. Specific requirements for safe execution of field support in chem./bio activities include hands on operations of radio remote controlled photoionization detectors with Raptor data acquisition software, field deployment and operations of electrochemical sensors in the scorpion box configuration, long path and stack mounted ABB Bomem FTIR operations, maintenance, and live data reporting, infrared camera deployments including operations and field maintenance, Trainham 100 and RGA 200 field mass spectrometer deployment and operation, CFLAPS III deployment and operations, Mattsen Garvin operations, GT-521 particle counter operations, FAIMS operation and deployment, and hand-held Raman spectrometer field operations. For each of these, experience in set-up and execution of remote wireless operations is essential for safe operation of equipment outside of exclusion zones. Support for NPTEC personnel during explosive events will include production, handling, characterization, and detonation of explosive materials under guidelines established by DOE NSO. These tasks will require a Registered Blaster with the State of Nevada. Experience with ANFO, ANS, UN, C4, dynamite, and other pyrotechnics is required. In addition to field operations, support for all phases of field events will be required, including material and equipment transport, diagnostic field design, diagnostic field set-up, and release system support, including PPG and VTF. Support for data collection, analysis, and reporting is also desired. Experience with test site specific JHA, WP, TEP, and REOP documentation for test
