- Description
- The Government intends to procure a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis with F O D Control Corporation of Tucson, AZ as required by the Aviation Safety Department, Sigonella Det ROTA Spain. The procurement is sole source because F O D Corporation is the exclusive and sole distributor of FOD BOSS Rapid Response Airport Sweeping Equipment, manufactured by Aerosweep Pty. Ltd., to the U.S. Military. The statutory authority for pursuing this action on a sole source basis is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The NAICS is 339999. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The request for quote (RFQ) and any subsequent amendments to the RFQ will only be available by downloading the documents at https://www.neco.navy.mil (the Navy Electronic Business Opportunities - NECO.) This office no longer issues hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the contractor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing to accept the quote. By submission of a quote, the offeror acknowledges that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance of the order and through the final payment of the purchase order. Failure to register in CCR may make an offeror ineligible for award. The RFQ will be posted on or about 18 July 2008.
