- THIS IS ONLY THE ADVANCED NOTICE. THE SOLICITATION INCLUDING ALL SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE POSTED AFTER JULY 31, 2008 FOR THE REQUIRED AQUATIC LAB WORK GENERALLY DESCRIBED BELOW. NO RESPONSE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This will be a Small Business Set-Aside. NAICS Code: 541380Size Standard: $11.0 Million Purpose: This is a contract to sort, identify, and enumerate aquatic invertebrates collected in streams and rivers of Wrangell St. Elias National Park and Preserve. A minimum of 500 organisms will be identified from each sample, not counting on large-rare organisms from the unsorted fraction. Organisms will be identified to the lowest practical taxonomic level, generally genus or species. Chironomid midges will be identified to genus or species. Sorting efficiency must be at least 95%. ITIS naming conventions and TSN's will be applied. Products will include a site by taxon spreadsheet that includes corrected abundances or densities and/or a database-format file with the same information, in addition to QA/QC results. ID'ed organisms and unsorted fractions will be retained and returned. A comprehensive voucher collection will be established for this project. ALL VENDORS WISHING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS SOLICITATION MUST BE REGISTERD IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) DATABASE PRIOR TO AN AWARD BEING MADE.
