- This notice is being publicized in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officer to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000. Further in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 it is the intent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to make award to Fernico, LLC. Fernico provides the FAR Pro Suite which is a one-of-kind forensic archiving and restoration system. Fernico, LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of a customized DEA software package that enhances the functioning of their equipment. The software program is proprietary to Fernico and they retain all proprietary rights. Therefore it is intended an order to be placed with Fernico, LLC. for the following: Forensic Archive and Restore (FAR Pro) equipment (Qty: 4) and FAR Pro software upgrade contract for 1 year (Qty: 4) and UPS Delivery Charges (1 Lot) for a total of $44,170.00. As a result Fernico, LLC. is the only responsible source to provide the necessary accessibility to the product, program source code, procedural knowledge, and the expertise in the software support.
