- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to issue a modification to Contract N65540-07-D-0022 with Kato Engineering, Inc., P.O. Box 8447, Mankato, MN 56002-8447 to procure eight (8) couplings (Kato Part No. 031-89982-00) on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The purpose of these couplings is to connect the Kato ship service generators procured under the aforementioned contract to the engine/prime mover shafts. The delivery schedule of the eight (8) couplings shall take place in two phases; four (4) couplings shall be delivered no later than 01 September 2008 and the remaining four (4) couplings shall be delivered no later than 01 December 2008. The applicable NAICS Code for this requirement is 335312. Interested parties may communicate their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty (30) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract among responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
