- The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, intends to solicit on a sole source basis, Claire Ross Maccallum of Chester, MD for coordinator services in support of the United States Naval Academy (USNA), Wedding Affairs and Memorial Affairs Services Department(s) & Chaplain Services. The Wedding & Memorial Affairs services administered by USNA Chaplain Services has a need to acquire ongoing continuous administrative support services to meet the increasing demands placed on the Wedding Affairs and Memorial Affairs Depts. This is a procurement to put in place coordinator services which are similar, but not exclusively, in nature to those rendered by an administrative assistant. These duties differ from those of an administrative assistant in several key areas regarding wedding/memorial service coordination and website maintenance. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for attending and coordinating various wedding and memorial affairs services &activities under the direction of the senior Chaplain. The Navy intends to solicit for a Firm Fixed Priced contract. This procurement is a sole source acquisition for a base year and one option year with Claire Ross Maccallum, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Claire Ross Maccallum, is the most appropriate provider of these services. Claire Ross Maccallum possesses the technical expertise and experience needed to provide for the unique requirements of the USNA Wedding & Memorial Affairs. Continuing service delivery in this manner will afford for the least amount of interruption in the mission requirements of this activity. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 561110. Numbered Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement with a Technical Capability Statement.. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
