- Marine Corps Systems Command intends to award a sole-source contract for a base period of 12 months (1 year) and four, 12-month option periods (4 years) for a total not to exceed 60 months to Army Times Publishing Co., 6883 Commercial Drive, Springfield, VA 22159-0310 for advertising space whose target audience is active duty Marines. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 3:00 P.M. August 6, 2008 will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Evidence must be provided of ability to perform the required printing and the ability to reach the target audience. Responses to this notice, if any, must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to laura.caracciolo@usmc.mil. The Government will review all responses, without prejudice; whether or not the Government will initially determine that another firm is fully qualified to fulfill the requirement. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests for information will not be honored.
