- The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501) with CHF Solutions, Inc., 7601 Northland Drive, Suite 170, Brooklyn Park, MN 55428, as the only responsible source that can provide a hemofiltration system that meets Navy requirements. The requirements are, but not limited to: 1.The requirement is for two hemofiltration units to remove excess water or salt from the patient suffering from volume overload and/or heart failure. 2.Start-up quantity of filters 3.Fluid removal rate of at least 200ml/hr 4.Blood flow rate of at least 30 ml/min 5.Venous access peripheral or central 6.Salt removal of at least 3000 mg/L 7.Compatible with standard catheters 8.The unit shall operate from a line voltage of 115 VAC + 10%, 60 + 2 Hz. 9.Must contain 2 copies of instruction manuals This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures FAR 13.501 under the authority of the test program for commercial items (section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996). There are not set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339112 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to Jan Harding at Jan.Harding@med.navy.mil. Statements are due by 4PM EST 24 July 2008.
