- This is a sources sought announcement. Reference SSA-RFI-08-1009 when responding to this announcement. The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking to identify small business concerns that can provide the following item: Renew maintenance on APPN-EE Firewall Software - Quantity of 14. The type of maintenance needed is in the form of updates, fixes and technical support 24/7/365. Responses must contain sufficient documentation to establish a potential capability to fulfill the requirement, as far as has been specified in this announcement. Closing Date for this submission is 5 calendar days from the date of this notice. No FAXED responses will be accepted. This is an information gathering effort only and if further procurement action is taken, additional publication(s) will be done as required. Respondents will NOT be notified of the results of ANY evaluation made from the information submitted. NO award will be made from the basis of this announcement. The information will be used in SSA assessment of capable sources. NO FORMAL SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AT THIS TIME. The Government will NOT pay for information provided in response to this announcement. Interested parties should contact the POC identified above.
