Description
The U.S. Forest Service intends to contract for the services of an Architecture and Engineering firm, Architectural Firm with Engineering Firm collaborators, or an Engineering Firm with Architectural Firm collaborators to perform tasks associated with the design of a lobby remodel project. The planned remodel is for the Corvallis Forestry Sciences Laboratory located on the Oregon State University campus in the city of Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. The estimated area of the lobby to be remodeled is 500 square feet or less. The A&E shall provide architectural, engineering, and technical design services to the USDA Forest Service for the preparation of Conceptual Design Documents, Preliminary Design Documents, Construction Documents, and Engineering Services during construction of the lobby remodel project. This project is advertised as an Emerging Small Business set-aside in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541330 and has a corresponding size standard of $4.0 million. A single firm fixed price contract will be issued to the firm evaluated to be the most qualified base on the following criteria: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of the required services. 2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required. 3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time. 4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules. 5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project; provided, that application of this criterion leaves an appropriate number of qualified firms, given the nature and size of the project. Interested parties should submit their SF 330s with any supporting information to the address listed above by August 8, 2008.
