- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Augusta GA (VISN 7), is issuing a solicitation for the cleaning of a water fountain in the front of the VA Medical Center, 1 Freedom Way, Augusta GA quarterly. The contractor will put in place a protective barricade to protect patients, staff, and decorative plants before the cleaning process begins. Cleaning process encompasses draining fountain and removal all trash and or leaves. Chemically clean all surface areas as to remove scale and scum. Rinse and re-clean if required. The period of performance is October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009, with four (4) one year options at the Governments discretion. Contractor shall furnish all necessary equipment and labor for this service. The NAICS code for this procurement is 561990, with a size standard of $6.5 million. This procurement is 100% set aside for owned small businesses. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing to the Contracting Officer, fax (478) 274-5588.
