- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security intends to award a Sole Source Contract to the Safe Environment Engineering (SEE) at 28474 Westinghouse Place, Valencia, CA 91355. The requirement will be a Sole Source Purchase Order, with a period of performance of 12 months. The contractor will assist Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in integrating current and other necessary sensor systems and further include additional sensor interoperability projects. SEE and PNNL will conduct a detail evaluation of the technical, cultural and policy limitations of LA which will lad to identifying the informational gaps for situational awareness of available sensor systems within the city and the federal government entities adjoining LA and assist in developing solutions. The contractor will directly contribute to the effort by integrating and implementing CBRNE sensor data/information flow for the city of Los Angeles emergency response community for situational awareness that is comprehensive, light weight, standards based, compatible with existing legacy systems, and can be easily adopted by other cities. The proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to award to only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested sources may submit a letter via e-mail to the Contracting Officer identifying their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement. Responses must be received no later than July 30, 2008, 4:00 pm EDT. A determination to compete this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a request for proposals or quotations. Phone calls will not be accepted.
