- This acquisition will be firm-fixed-price (FOB Dest.) to acquire Zebra components for the implementation of IUID/RFID. The IUID provides a contractual asset tag that directs a data map to the original acquisition document for true financial accountability and depreciation. The RFID provides inventory control/property accountability. For requirement description quantity, and detail see attachments 1) EQUIPMENT LIST and 2) JUSTIFICATION AND APPROVAL. Simply RFID On-Demand 2008 software reports every military shipping label in a single integrated program along with integrated support for handheld RFID scanners (Pro Comply) for verification and data collection. RFID offers this level of integration with complete system support for all DoD integrated applications. Simply RFID are the developer, proprietary owner of, and only source for the OD 2008 DoD shipping system. Simply RFID is the only company that can produce a single barcode with both IUID and RFID. Additionally, Simply RFID is the only company that guarantees 100% Department of Defense (DoD) compliance. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This is an all-or-none requirement. Partial proposals will be deemed unresponsive and will not be evaluated. Please indicate if your proposal is "Open Market" or provide the contract number of the existing contract that was previously synopsized/solicited in compliance with FAR requirements. The solicitation will be available via this website on or about 30 July 08. Hard copies will not be available. The approximate response date will be 2 September 08. No telephone requests.
