- The National Park Service (NPS) anticipates soliciting for proposals and awarding a contract for supplying and installing four knock down Manufactured Steel Detention Cells (MDC), one meeting ADA accessibility standards.A) Set-aside: This requirement is solicited as Full and Open Competition.B) Brief Project Description: The contractor shall supply and install four knock down Manufactured Steel Detention Cells (MDC), one meeting ADA accessibility standards. The cells shall include Detention enclosures and detention accessories all delivered and installed in an existing historic building. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical connections will be performed by the Government after the installation of the cells. The cells will be installed in Building 13, the Mammoth Jail, Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park.C) Estimated Price Range: Between $100,000 and $250,000D) Schedule: All dates are tentative and may change. Issue Request for Proposals July 31, 2008; Proposals due August 29, 2008; Award contract September 18, 2008. E) Solicitation: The request for proposals (RFP) and future amendments will be available through www.fbo.gov. Enter the solicitation number N1574080097 in the search block. F) Proposed Contract Type: Firm fixed price contract with lump-sum pricing. G) Proposal Evaluation Criteria / Factors: Award will be made to the Offeror presenting the best value to the Government. Selection will be based on price and non-price factors. The non-price factors will be prior experience, past performance, and any additional factors identified in the solicitation.
