Description
Questions and Answers for W9124M08B0001 1. How often the barracks are requested to be cleaned? The barracks are normally cleaned once the unit deploys. Based on historical data, this will be approximately once every two years. How much time is allowed to perform the barracks cleaning once the requested is submitted to the contractor? contractor needs to be aware there may be a requirement to cleaning several barracks at one time depending on the troop schedules. The cleaning will need to be done concurrently. 2. Is there a specified method of stripping/waxing the floors? What materials are specified? (Emulsion wax or gloss surface wax?) Answer = Emulsion 3. Exterior cleaning, fresh water through hose or pressure with cleaning chemistry? Answer = Either is acceptable as long as areas are deemed clean satisfactory by government QEA. Contractor will need to demonstrate to the government their process will be effective and not cause harm to the building i.e. flooding, water infiltration into the building cavity. 4. What are the project timelines/completion expectations? Answer = The time lines vary on the situation but it is anticipated a barracks would be cleaned within 3 weeks. 5. Is there a scheduled site visit? Answer = No, currently all rooms are clean and occupied. 6. How many barracks? Size? Answer = This information has been included in technical exhibits 1 through 4. 7. Is the entire barracks to be cleaned? Or just affected areas? The Governments anticipation is to clean the full barracks with this contract but there may be times when we request a partial cleaning to meet an unique requirement. 8. Are the locations occupied? Or empty? Barracks will be empty. 9. If occupied, will furnish etc. have to be moved to perform tasks? There will always be furniture in the rooms regards of being occupied or not. It is the up to the contractor to determine how they will perform their work and still meet the requirements 10. Is there a time-frame of work? See question 6 11. Is a S.O.W. available or shall we propose the S.O.W.? A SOW has been provided. 12. Is there a possibility of sole source negotiations? No, if this was the case the government would have already proceed with this method of procurement. 13. Will mini blind cleaning be part of the solicitation or will it be a separate bid for mini blinds cleaning? Mini blinds in the rooms will be required to be cleaned as part of this contract.
