- This modification to a previously issued pre-solicitation notices is changed as follows:1. The NAICS code is changed to 336611. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees.2. The acquisition will be solicited using the Sealed Bid procurement process prescribed in Part 14 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. A bid guarantee and performance and payment bonds will be required. 3. The issue date for the soliciation remains unchanged (on/about July 16, 2008.) This is a pre-solicitation notice for Invitation for Bids for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision to provide an all-weather, alternative-fuel tour boat with advanced biodiesel engine technology for operation on Rainy Lake within Voyageurs National Park. The watercraft will be a 50-foot shallow draft, aluminum hull sightseeing vessel able to accommodate 49 passengers. Two 6BTA, 6 cylinder 5.9 liter turbocharged and aftercooled Cummins diesel engines with computerized fueled injection will be specified. Two tunnel drives with propellers will be used to propel the vessel at cruising speeds of 25 mph. This watercraft will also be capable of safely operating in all weather, during three seasons, on the exposed and often dangerous water of Rainy Lake. Bidding specifications and drawings will be provided by the government. The contractor is responsible for final construction drawings and specifications. The NAICS Code is 336612.The small business size standard is 500 employees. The estimated price range of the project is between $1,000,000 and $1,400,000.Delivery date is June 9, 2010. The solicitation with drawings, specifications, and bid schedule will be posted to the website http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://idease.nvc.gov on or about July 16, 2008. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. Vendors submitting quotes must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and have completed their online Representations and Certifications.
