- Description
- The Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Campbell, KY, has a requirement for Digital Eyewitness ION Eclipse System for the Public Safety Business Center, Fort Campbell, KY. Equipment list is attached. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The agency intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price purchase order with Kustom Signals, Inc located in Lenexa, KS. The basis for restricting competition is that Kustom Signals is the sole manufacturer of these items. NAICS code for this procurement is 334310 and number of employees is 750. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. See Numbered Note 22. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the source negotiation with Kustom Signals, Inc. Responses are due by 23 July 2008, 3:00 P.M. (CST).
