- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Salient Characteristics as follows: The oven will be designed for use in a Class I, Div I, Group D and Class II, Div 1, Group E, F, & G environment. Non sparking fans, static elimination belt drives and explosion proof motors will be used. All electric equipment and controls will be of approved explosion resistant design, enclosed in explosion resistant housing. Rigid conduits or approved mineral insulated cable will carry the wiring. Operating range: 120F to 190F, Maximum temperature 200F Votage 230V/ 3 phsase/60hz. Interior demensions: 60inWx36inDx48inH. Interior surfaces 304 SS, Exterior demensions: 72.5inWx51.5inDx86inH Exterior Surfaces: Cold rolled steel painted grey or blue. Construction: The oven shall be constructed from a heavy duty steel frame that supports the interior stainless chamber and the sheet metal exterior. All interconnecting struts shall not be continuous from inner to outer walls, to help keep the exterior cool. Doors: The doors will be kept in the closed position by approved, non sparking explosion relief latches. In the event of an explosion, the doors swing will be limited to 4ft-6in from the front of the oven by use of a chain. Shelving rack: the unit will be equipped with 2 columns of 15 shelf levels spaced on 3in centers. the unit will accomodate up to 30 shelves 27.5inwx35.5inD loaded 2 wide and one deep. Exhaust: An explosion proof exhaust blower rated to handle the solvent load during the heating process shall be provided. The exhaust blower shall be constructed out of non sparking materials. Provide a magnahelic gage for this blower, in the event of an exhaust blower failure, an audible alarm will sound. Circulation Blower: An explosion proof circulation blower shall be provided. The circulation blower shall be constructed from non sparking materials. A door switch shall be provided that de energize the heating and circulation systems when the oven door is open. The exhaust blower shall remain running. Provide a Class A safety plaque-OSHA marking to the front of the oven. It shall list the types of solvents being used in the oven (hexane, acetone, MEK. Please include freight charges in with price line item. Gov contracts are tax exempt. FOB: Destination Include your best possible delivery date.
