- Description
- NRCS in Pennsylvania announces a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Animal Nutritionists interested in writing Feed Management Plans and performing quarterly follow ups for up to three years thereafter. The purpose of this project is to reduce the amount of phosphorous and nitrogen in manure, thus decreasing the amounts of nutrients emitted into the streams. These feed management plans will cover cattle operations in Pennsylvania. Once applied, there will be quarterly evaluation and tests performed by the nutritionist as a part of the contract. These tests will be performed and adjustments will be made for up to a three year period. At the end of the third year, the respondents will be required to submit a final report, recapping the work done and the final results.
