- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Procurement and Grants Office intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for laboratory analysis of participants in the National Health and Nutrition Survey (NHANES). This is a performance-based contract. A single award will result from this solicitation, with a firm-fixed price contract. The period of performance is 5 years. All laboratory data must be comparable throughout the survey with the same laboratory and methods used. The contractor shall perform laboratory analysis to measure Vitamin D from biologic specimens collected at the NHANES exam center. The Vitamin D will be determined using the Diasorin RIA assay. Test results and quality control results must be supplied in machine-readable format within 3 weeks after receipt of serum specimens. Contractor must have a well-established quality control program and document that the method used is a calibrated system with at least 2 years of quality control data. The RFP documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at http://FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFP Number 2008-N-10476 on or about 07/18/2008, with a 30 day closing. Paper copies WILL NOT be available and telephone requests or fax requests will not be accepted. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
