Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid Atlantic, is seeking eligible small business firms interested in the following type of work: Engineering and Design Services are required for a firm fixed price A&E Contract for P1336 and 71857, Naval Hospital Renovations and Addition. This project is located in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Projects will be Naval Hospital Renovation and MRI Addition and Hospital Outpatient Clinic Addition. This project includes correcting the deficiencies in existing departmental adjacencies, layout, and patient/staff circulation; MRI imaging alcove addition and Outpatient Clinic Addition. The work will be designed, developed, and constructed in compliance with current DOD Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) 4-510-01, UFAS, ADAAG, base architectural guidelines and Anti-terrorism/Force Protection requirements.Architect-Engineering and Engineering Services that may be required under this contract include DD Form 1391 documentation, DD Form 1354 documentation, plans, specifications, preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for design/build and design/bid/build projects, cost estimates, related studies, surveying, soil borings, hazardous materials identification, energy computation, Life Safety Code studies, interior space planning/design, other associated engineering services, shop drawing review, as-built drawing preparation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) preparation, Operation and Maintenance Support Information (OMSI), construction inspection and engineering consultation services during construction. All interested small business firms are encouraged to respond. Upon review of industry response to this Sources Sought Synopsis, the Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Governments best interest. This office anticipates award of a contract for these services no later than January 2009. The appropriate NAICS Codes are 541310 and 541330. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. It is requested that interested businesses submit to the Contracting Officer a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 25 pages in length, singled-spaced, 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services. This documentation shall address, as a minimum, the following: (1) Relevant Experience to include experience in performing efforts of Architect Engineering work as described above. (2) Company profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE Code, and a statement indicating whether your firm is a small business or a large business. (3) Capability to provide qualified backup staffing for key personnel to ensure continuity of services. (4) Active professional Registration. (5) Experience in obtaining permits in North Carolina.
