- Requisition Number: FDA1046501 The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a purchase order on a non-competitive sole source basis to The Jackson Laboratory, 600 Main Street, Bar Harbor, ME 04609. FDA will purchase the following: 001: C57BL/6J Mice, quantity 1,840, 4 weeks of age 002: BALB/cByJ Mice, quantity 440, 4-5 weeks of age 003: Biologicals shipping container, quantity 114 004: Shipping charges The Jackson Laboratory is the sole manufacturer of these patented genetically modified mice stains for FDA studies. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. However, sources may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting their capabilities, which will be considered by the Agency. A determination to compete this procurement based on response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All inquiries must be received by 10:00 AM (1000) EST on 24 July 2008 to the attention of David Kordel, david.kordel@fda.hhs.gov. The FDA intends to make an award immediately after the response date of this notice. The award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
