Description
(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The following is a Request for Quote (RFQ) #VA-250-08-RQ-0299, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26. (iv) This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 423450 with a size standard of 100 employees. (v) Requirements include: ItemMfr Part #DescriptionQuantUnit 1KL15dfKirby Lester Tablet and Capsule Counter (including service and operator's manuals)6each Brand Name or Equal items are acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered. (vi) Minimum requirements include: 1) Counts all shapes and sizes of tablets and capsules with an accuracy of 99.97% and without adjustments. 2) Particle discrimination recognizes small chips and fragments. 3) Accurate counting without adjustments for different products 4) No moving parts 5) Counts Tablet Size: 0.86" long (22mm) and 0.74" wide (19mm). 6) Other: Power: 110V, 50/60Hz and 220V, 50/60Hz (vii) Delivery is to be FOB destination made within 60 days of award to the Dayton VA Medical Center 4100 W 3rd St., Dayton, OH 45428. (ix); FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items Evaluation. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1. Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement. 2. Price - The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes or the total price for the requirement. Technical and price factors, when combined, are equal. All offers must be submitted no later than July 17, 2008 at 12:00 pm, EST and should be marked with solicitation number VA-250-08-RQ-0299. Offers are to be e-mailed to Monae D.
