- Description
- NASA/KSC has a requirement for a Timing Matrix Switch. The switch description is asfollow: System-Switching-solid state -2 wire analog (DC-100KHz), 16-input 64-output2-wire analog matrix using DC37 type I/O connectors with 50 kohm differential inputimpedance, and 100 ohm differential output impedance in a 2RU rack mounted unit with dualhot-swappable power supplies Ethernet GPI Band Serial control ports, and front panelcontrol and display. Timing Matrix Switch model SS202-S8064-51D for a quantity of one(1). The purchase requisition has a brand name restriction to Universal SwitchingCorporation. The procurement is being restricted because the switch must interface to allexisting signals and national instruments control software. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=76. Theinformation required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing tomaria.m.figueroa@nasa.gov no later than July 14, 2008. It is the quoter's responsibilityto monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any).
