- The Omaha District US Army Corps of Engineers is having a Relay Test Set industry day. This is to provide an opportunity for test set manufacturers to demonstrate their products and to allow engineers and technicians to see what options and features are available. The industry day will take place on Thursday July 24, 2008 at the Oahe Dam Project Office located 7 miles north of Pierre, South Dakota, on South Dakota Highway 1804. The address is U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 28563 Powerhouse Road Room 105 Pierre, South Dakota 57501. Only one representative per each test set manufacturer will be allowed to attend. To register for the event contact Lucas Kirkpatrick at (402) 995-2497 or by email at Lucas.J.Kirkpatrick@usace.army.mil. The registration deadline is July 16th COB. The protective relay test sets being demonstrated should be capable of functionally testing a variety of both electromechanical and digital, generation, transmission and distribution relays. It is desirable that the test set be able to be operated stand alone by a front panel interface with the ability to have a computer interface. The test set needs to have 3 phase power output and be compatible with RTS software.
