- NASA/GRC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for PatentServices. NASA Glenn Research center (GRC) requires patent related services includingprior art searches, U.S. patent application preparation and prosecution, PatentCooperation Treaty (PCT) application filing, foreign application preparation andprosecution and services related to appeals and interference proceedings. NASA intends to use the information received to determine the best procurement process,identify capabilities, as well as gauge potential interest in this requirement. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sitesfor the release of any solicitation or synopsis.Interested offerors/vendors having the required specialized capabilities to meet theabove requirement should submit a capability statement of 10 pages or less indicating theability to perform all aspects of the effort described herein. Offerors are invited tosubmit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, references and should includerelevant work performed and years of experience and any other information demonstratingcapabilities relevant to these services. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, point of contact, sizeof business; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/orwoman-owned. Please advise if the requirement is considered to be a commercial or commercial-typeproduct. A commercial item is defined in FAR 2.101.This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as acommitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemedfully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. Werequest that only non-proprietary information be included in any response to thisRFI/Sources Sought. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business or 8(a) set-aside based onresponses hereto. All responses shall be submitted to Nikki Brown at 21000 BrookparkRoad, M.S. 500-312, Cleveland, OH 44135 no later than 4:30 p.m. EST on Friday, July 11,2008. Electronic submissions are acceptable.
