Description
1. Do you have any preference on CAT 6 cable specs (i.e shielded or unshielded, external cable coating, etc.) UTP, indoor plenum 2. The type of Rack Rack is to be similar in appearance and design to a APC NetShelter SX 42U 600mm Wide x 1070mm Deep Enclosure, P/N AR3100. 3. Is the entire area covered by a raised floor? Yes 4. Is there a choice on where we place surface or in-wall outlets? In-wall outlets are preferred. If surface-mounted hardware is used, all cabling is to be covered by Panduit-type conduit. 5. Will the RJ45 wall jacks be surface mounted boxes to the floor, wall, or will they be flush with the wall like a regular wall plate See #4 6. If they need to be surface mounted on the wall, how high off raised floor? 24' 7. Is the entire floor within the 800 and 900 area raised flooring, the big thick tiles that can be lifted out? Yes. However, the carpeting on top of the floor does not match that edges of the tiles. Additional labor will be needed to gain access to the floor. 8. Do the thin lines in the drawing portray drywall or are they cubicles and is the darker thicker line a concrete wall that needs to be drilled through? The offices and cubical walls within the 800 Area are of wood and drywall construction and rest on top of the raised floor. All underfloor barriers are made of drywall. 9. Average length of the drops The average cable run should be 100' or less. 10. Color preference of RJ45-face places The preferred color of the faceplate is almond or white. The preferred color of the RJ45 jacks is green (blue, orange, yellow, and red are undesirable). 11. How deep does the 43 rack unit cabinet need to be? Would you like a specific cabinet color? Rack is to be similar in appearance and design to a APC NetShelter SX 42U 600mm Wide x 1070mm Deep Enclosure, P/N AR3100. 12. Would you like the cabinet to have horizontal or vertical management? Horizontal 13. How long are the cable runs? What color jacket would you like? The average cable run should be 100' or less. No preference on the cable jacket color. 14. Regarding the wall jacks and patch panel, would you like manufacturer to be Leviton, or another manufacturer? No preference 15. The solicitation states that contractor is to provide conduit, do you know how much (length)? no specific length, usually cost under miscellaneous materials 16. Is the contractor providing the CAT 6 Cable and outlets, the solicitation calls for install but doesnt specify this? Yes, this is part of the entire cost (provide, install, terminate) 17. Is contractor required to provide Test results and network plan after install? Of course test it, it need to be working to cat6 specifications 18. Is there flexibility in the work hours - it would be our preference to do the work when personnel are not present (open floors & noise) and also to work extended hours to get the project done in the most professional but expedient manner?
