- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 3rd Contracting Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, AK intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price purchase order to FCX Systems. FCX Systems will be providing 270VDC Power Converters (VDC270-F-300A-CM4-WC) for F-22s. Due to compatibility and standardization issues, these units are the only type currently authorized that will satisfy this requirement. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 30 June 08. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
