Description

The purpos of this modification to solicitatin number NCNT0000-8-38120 extends the response due date to 12:0 Noon (EST), Friday, July 3, 2009. All other information and requirements remain unchanged. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Parts 12 and 13 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation NCNT0000-8-38120 is issued as a request for quotation and is solicited under full and open competition. The NAICS code is 511210. The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Information Systems Division (ISD) has a brand name or equal requirement for Syntellect Vista Silver software, application and hardware (server) system maintenance coverage to support Government registered Syntellect Licenses (144) and three servers and Dial-A-Buoy applications in use at NOAA's Silver Spring, Maryland facility. The period of performance is twelve months from the date of award. Offerors proposing to furnish 'equal' services shall insert the following description for the product: Manufacturer's Name; Address; Product name and Catalogue Description. Offerors shall be responsible for submitting all additional information on the above service necessary for the Government to determine whether it meets the salient specifications of the "brand name" as listed in the solicitation. The resulting purchase order shall be negotiated on a firm fixed price. Firms responding to this notice must provide written authorization of their ability to provide the service. The solicitation document and incorporated clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Number 2005-26. The provisions and clauses may be downloaded at http://www.acqnet.gov/far. The following provisions and clauses shall apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition and there is no addenda to this provision; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items; FAR 52.213-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and there is no addenda to this provision; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and there is no addenda to this provision; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. All interested contractors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at the CCR website www.ccr.gov and must provide a completed copy of the Offeror Representations and Certifications. Interested responsible sources may submit a quotation to NOAA no later than 12 Noon (EST) Friday, July 3, 2008. Responses may be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Shirley L. Johnson at shirley.l.johnson@noaa.gov, fax to (301) 713-0806, or mailed to DOC/NOAA/AGO, 1305 East West Highway, Sta. 7618, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910. It is the responsibility of the contractor to confirm receipt of their proposal by NOAA.
