- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Hennesy Mechanical Sales LLC, 201 South 26th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034-2608 the authorized Fairbanks Morse representative/distributor for the state of Arizona. The proposed work is for the refurbishment of pumps for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies that will satisfy the agency requirements. The pumps are Fairbanks Morse pumps and require the refurbishment with original equipment manufacturer parts. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Firms that recognize and can provide the required work described above are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responses received within 7 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) Number and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Firms should identify themselves as either small business, or other than small business, in accordance with the size standard of 500 employees under the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code of 333911. Responses to this notice should be mailed to Bureau of Reclamation, Acquisitions and Assistance Team (YAO-3100 Cordero), 7301 Calle Agua Salada, Yuma, Arizona, 85364; via facsimile to 928-343-8568; or by E-mail at mcordero@lc.usbr.gov. Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR database may make an offeror ineligible for award.
