- Western Regional Contracting Office intends to solicit on a full and open competition basis for One full-time Adult Psychiatrist and one full-time Child Psychiatrist at Bassett Army Community Hospital (BACH), Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, with a base period of on or about 15 September 2008 through 14 September 2009 and four subsequent 1-year options. The population served includes but is not limited to: Soldiers in Basic or Advanced Individual Training, Soldiers pending deployment, Soldiers redeployed, Soldiers being evaluated for medical discharge from the service, Soldiers Wounded in Action (WIA), and their families, family members of Soldiers Killed in Action (KIA), deployment related medically unexplainable symptoms and other beneficiaries of the military healthcare system. As a minimum, the each Psychiatrist must have a current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Alaska and be able to obtain privileges through BACH and Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska. Further required qualifications applicable to each individual specialty are shown in the Solicitation, including Exhibit 1 and Exhibit 2. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps website at www.fbo.gov on or about 30 June 2008. Prospective offerors shall download the solicitation and any other documents from the website. The Request for Proposal (RFP) number is W91YU0-08-R-0023. Telephone or written requests for the solicitation will not be accepted.
