- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Research Services (ORS) has a requirement for Mail Processing and Delivery services in Montgomery County, MD. This will include receiving, inspecting, x-raying, sorting, and delivery of incoming mail, as well as the concurrent collection of outgoing mail, twice daily. Also included, is the requirement to prepare and apply postage to outgoing mail, prepare and label ground service parcels to a private carrier. It is the intent of the NIH to award a Support Services (non-R&D) contract with a contract term consisting of a base year with four one-year options, for a total of five years. This requirement is an 8 a set-aside for small business. Qualified 8a companies should furnish enough detailed documentation to allow the Government to perform a proper evaluation. Respondents will be notified of the results. The closing date will be 15 calendar days after publication. All 8a vendors and prospective contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor’s Registration (www.ccr.gov) prior to the award date. If not registered or active by the award date, vendor proposals will be considered non responsive.
