Description
This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The RFQ number is N00189-08-T-G072 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for commercial items. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAR and DFARS. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.arnet.gov and www.acq.osd.mil. This is an unrestricted competitive action. The FISC Norfolk Groton Office requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing the following: CLIN 0001: LASER ENGRAVER - 1 EACH 1. MAX Engraving area: 24x182. MAX material thickness: 9 (with table removed 11 and 23.5x17 engraving area)3. Laser tube wattage: 60 watts4. Intelligent memory buffer: store unlimited files up to 64 MB. Rolling buffer allows files of any size to be engraved)5. Operating Modes: optimized raster engraving, vector cutting or combined raster/vector mode6. Motion control system: high-speed, continuous-loop, DC servomotors using linear and rotary encoding technology for precise positioning7. Laser source: state-of-the-art, digitally controlled, air-cooled CO2 laser tubes are fully modular, permanently aligned, and field replaceable.8. X-axis bearings: ground and polished stainless steel NeverWear Bearing system9. Belts: advanced B-style doublewide Kevlar precision drive belts10. Resolution: user controlled from 75 to 1200 dpi11. Speed and Power Control for Raster/Vector: computer or manually controlled speed and power in 1% increments to 100%, vector color mapping links speed and power settings to any RGB color.12. Print interface: 10 Base T Ethernet or USB connections. Compatible with Windows 2000/XP13. Size: 36.5W x 39 H x 29 D14. Weight: 180 lbs Max15. Electrical Requirements: Auto-switching power supply accommodates 110 to 240 volts, 50 or 60 Hz, single phase, 15 amps AC16. Ventilation System: External exhaust to the outside required. There is 1-4 inch diameter output port. CLIN 0002: AIR COMPRESSER FOR LASER ENGRAVER - 1 EACH Is available to work with the included air assist feature on each laser system.Directs a constant stream if air to your cutting surface to remove heat and combustible gases from the work area. This high quality air compressor feeds 30 psi of air through the air assist structure, giving you the best cutting available. The rubber vibration-dampening feet reduce noise level of the compressor. Connecting to the air assist compressor is easy with our quick-connect inlet and outlet ports on the compressor and the laser system. CLIN 0003: ROTARY ATTACHMENT FOR LASER ENGRAVER - 1 EACH Provides the ability to engrave bottles, glasses, flashlights, and other cylindrical items.Specially designed to work with this engraver. It is built to accommodate a large variety of shapes and sizes. The attachment easily adjusts for different lengths and will even rotate cylinders that have different diameters on each end. So intuitive and easy to use, you change from one glass to the next in seconds without removing the attachment from the engraver. Provides for accurate image scaling without the need to input diameter or circumference information. CLIN 0004: EXAUST FAN FOR LASER ENGRAVER - 1 EACH The exhaust fan removes smoke and combustible gases from the engraver enclosure.The specifications are a minimum of 450 CFMs at 4 inches static pressure. END OF CLINS CLIN item specifications are brand name or equal to Epilog Helix 60 watt laser engraver The item is required F.O.B. destination. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. Place of delivery will be SWO SCHOOL COMMAND, NEWPORT, RI 02841. Method of payment will be WIDE AREA WORK FLOW (WAWF). Quotation shall include as a minimum: Unit Price FOB destination, point of contact name and phone number, payment terms, and all provision information called for in 52.212-3. DOD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
