- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price contract for the procurement of eight (8) new, identical, welded-steel Deck Barges to be used to support USACE missions. Each barge shall be approximately 95-feet long, 70-feet wide and 10-feet deep. All structure on these barges will be increased for severe service. All vessels will be delivered with ABS certification for Maltese Cross A-1 Barge. An option for two (2) additional identical barges shall be included. Testing will be required and must be performed in open water prior to delivery. The acquisition will be solicited using the Sealed Bid procurement process prescribed in Part 14 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Solicitation Number W912BU-08-B-0019 will be issued on or about 10 July 2008 with a closing date of on or about 11 Aug 2008 at 1400 hours. The total performance period for this procurement will be 730 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). A bid guarantee and performance and payment bonds will be required and liquidated damages will apply. Firms who receive a federal contract in excess of $25,000.00 are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans. Information on submitting your report may be obtained by calling 703-561-2460 or by accessing the following internet web site: https://vets100.vets.dol.gov. Prospective bidders interested in receiving a solicitation must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database. Central contractor registration information can be obtained by calling (888) 227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov as required by DFARS 204.7300. Instructions will be included in the solicitation. All bids are to be delivered to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, Wanamaker Building, Room 643, 100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA 19107-3390, Attn: Ms. Adriana A. Dunaway. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site.
