- Description
- The computer solution for the Tactical Air Control Party Modernization (TACP-M) Program is a rugged, small, light weight, and low power portable computers that use PC Internal Data Modems (PCIDM) to interface with Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Very High Frequency (VHF), High Frequency (HF) and SATCOM radios. Currently, the interface between the computers and the Internal Data Modem is the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) slots. Many computers in this class lack PCMCIA support. In addition, the PCMCIA slots will become obsolete in the future as the computer industry is moving to other interface methods. The contractor will modify the existing PCIDM product to work with computers lacking PCMCIA support and future migration through the use of Universal Serial Bus. This RFI revision clarifies the NAIC code and provide more clarity to the requirements.
