Description
THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ANNOUNCEMENT. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is interested in receiving industry feedback and recommendations regarding the design and implementation of the enterprise data warehouse to enhance the quality outcomes and cost savings throughout the PMS-JCREW acquisition and stakeholders. All interested parties are encouraged to respond to this RFI. All parties (including individuals, organizations, corporations and partnerships) responding to this RFI must identify themselves and provide a brief explanation of their capabilities, suggested approach (to included an estimate for implementation and year to year support), and lessons learned from previous implementations of similar requirements. The purpose of the JCREW 3.3 Integrated data environment RFI is to describe the features of the JCREW 3.3 System of Systems (hereafter referred to as JCREW 3.3) Integrated Data Environment (IDE) for use on the JCREW 3.3 Program led by PMS-408. This is to be considered a guide in the development of the IDE in support of the JCREW 3.3 Program and the proposed rational for implementation of the JCREW 3.3 IDE. NAVSEA is interested in improving content versus an editorial review of the document provided. However, you are welcome to submit questions to resolve ambiguous information that is not addressed elsewhere. Comments and questions must be addressed and submitted in the JCREW 3.3 Industry Comment Form found at the end of the attached file no later than 12:00pm EST on 25 July 2008. Responses are limited to 15 pages. NAVSEA's desire is to improve the JCREW 3.3 IDE Requirement by incorporating lessons learned from industry from past Department of Defense Integrated Data Environment efforts. The Government will not pay for information received in response to this synopsis. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept proposals as a result of this RFI. This is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an RFP or award a contract. All questions must be directed to: Jim Ryan at 301-744-5112 or email james.v.ryan1@navy.mil
