- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement one Pyroprobe 5200 Pyrolyzer with Thermal Desorptionand Reactant Gas Operation and installation of this instrument. The pyrolyzer must havethe following requirements: Compatibility with a Thermo Trace gas chromatograph; Interface options via built-in trap and direct to GC; probe interface;Filament programmable in 1C increments to 1400C;Interface temperature settable in 1C increments to 350C;Trap heating rate 800C/minuteTrap temperature ambient to 350C;Compatibility of consumables and parts with Pyroprobe 5200;Installation required.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from CDS Analytical, Inc. pursuant to FAR 13.106,for the acquisition of supplies determined to be reasonably available from only onesource.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 2:30PM EST on datelisted above. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
