- CORRECTION: THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AN 8(a) COMPETITIVE SOLICITATION. All 8(a) certified contractors may compete. This acquisition is to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary for full food and housekeeping services at U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile, AL. The period of performance is one base year, beginning 1 October 2008 through 30 September 2009 with four one-year options. The government will award a contract from this request for quotations to the responsible quoter whose quote, conforming to the quotation, will be most advantageous to the government, price and past performance considered. This solicitation is setaside as a competitive 8(a) certified businesses participation only. Quotes from State Licensing Agencies (for Blind vendors) operating under the authority of the Randolph-Sheppard Act, 20 USC, 107(a-e), must be given a priority in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Education at 34CFR 395.33. If a quote is received from a State Licensing Agency, the Government may consult with the Secretary of Education to determine whether any priority should be given that quote. This consultation may be necessary even if a quote is judged as not having a reasonable chance for being selected for award. The NAICS Code is 722310. The size standard is $19 million. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. The quotation package shall be available electronically by accessing http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/fdiv/fdiv.html on or about 25 June 2008. No paper copies of the solicitation will be distributed. Amendments to the quotation will also be provided on the Internet using the same protocol listed above.
