Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, simplified acquisition procedures and the resultant purchase order will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-25, effective April 22, 2008. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation number is fDA--SOL-08-0078.This synopsis, NAICS code 541990, is to notify contractors that the government intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13.106 for the following statement of work, under the simplified acquisition procedures. This is a total small business set-aside. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading the solicitation and any amendments. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps website for the release of any amendments to this solicitation. The Government reserves the right to award a contract without discussions if the Contracting Officer determines that the initial offer(s) is/are providing the Best Value and discussions are not necessary. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a purchase order for the equipment listed below. Product Description: Electricall Heated Debinding and Sintering Furnace including safety System Electrical Furnace with the inner dimension in the range of 450mm X 700 mm x 1000mm ( w x d x h) to 500mm x 750mm x 1200mm ( w x d x h) temperature range: room temperature to 1000 degree C ( about 2000F)or higher. (1)The furnace must be capable of processing/ enduring food samples at high temperatures (2)The furnace must have a system that is capable of removing organic/ flammable mixtures (3)The furnace must have a capacity to host at least five shelves. (4)The furnace must have a safety system that monitors chamber pressure, inlet air/exhaust gas volume flow and emergency functions to avoid flammable mixtures in the furnace chamber. (5)The furnace must have automatic segment vapor vent mechanisms (6)The furnace must have exhaust hood/exhaust gas ductwork and exhaust fan that are able to endure high temperatures. (7)The furnace must have touch pane/programmable controller that allows use to program/ control at least 10 process temperature plateaus. (8)The furnace must have digital readout set and actual temperature and control output (9)The furnace manufacturer must provide clear/detail electrical/ HVAC requirements/work scope free of financial charge for the furnace. Product description: Shelf Kit: Corderite shelves and alumina support posts for the the furnace includes: (1) 12 shelf plates ( 2/ plate/ level ) each with a dimension of 340x 370x13mm (13.3 x14.5 x0.05 inches (2) 72 support posts ( 6 posts/level ) each with a dimension of 25 x 140mm ( 1. x 5.5 nches ) OD XH FOB Point Destination: date to be determined Delivery to be made to FDA/W EAC 109 Holton St. Winchester Ma 01890 Loading Dock The vendor is responsible for onsite installation and commissioning. An official authorized to bind the Offeror must sign the terms and condition of the offer. Offerors that fail to finish required representations and certifications or reject the terms And conditions of the solicitation, may be excluded form consideration Contract type: Commercial Item- firm fixed price using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The provision at FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors commercial Item applies to this solici- tation. The following addenda have bee attached to this provision: None The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government. Price and other factors considered. Award will be made to the lowest priced technically acceptable proposal. The government reserves the right to make an award without discussion. Offerors shall include technical specifications, descriptive material, literature, brochures and other information corresponding to each minimum required ite, which demonstrates the capabilities of the offerors equipment. A standard commercial warranty on parts and workmanship is required. The Defense Priorities and Allocations System and assigned rating are not applicable to this solicitation notice. CCR: Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov. You will need your Dun & Bradstreet number and banking information.
