- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - Brand Name Justification for Vintela Authentication Services The Internal Revenue Service intends to award a delivery order for commercial items. We will be issuing an order to a Federal Supply Service (FSS) schedule contractor. This purchase order will be made under the Authority of FAR Part 11.105 and FAR Part 52.211-6 - Brand Name or Equal. The IRS requires on-site services to implement a technology refreshment for centralized management of UNIX/LINUX servers. The agency’s purpose is to strengthen their security posture regarding Access Control and Configuration Standards. The agency requires a foundation to consolidate the UNIX/LINUX server environment into Active Directory which further supports virtualization, account management lifecycle and a standardized environment. The Vintela Authentcation Service (VAS) is compatible with and can support existing hardware systems operating at the IRS computing centers. The delivery order will be fulfilled by one GSA FSS schedule contractor. Anticipated award date is July 14, 2008. Solicitation Number is TIRNO-08-R-00023.
