- Description
- The intent of this contract is to secure services to pre-commercially thin trees, hand pile thinning slash and down logs in conifer stands. Work activities are to be accomplished utilizing hand-held or manual equipment. The Contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, operating supplies, transportation, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the work required. Hand thinning of trees less than 14 inches diameter, felling/bucking standing dead, bucking thinning material and existing down material, and hand piling slash, standing dead and downed logs. The project is located within the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit on the East Shore in the Slaughterhouse Canyon area and on the West Shore in the Rubicon/Meeks Bay area. The project area consists of 349 acres with a contract length of 2 seasons (397 days). Starting date is approximately September 2, 2008.
