- Marine Corps Installation East Contracting Department, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source requirement to: Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., 2600 American Dr, Appleton, WI, 54912-2017, under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This requirement is to purchase services to refurbish, revitalize, and upgrade one 1989 Pierce Walk-in Heavy Rescue Truck to meet the current National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) and DoD Standards per NFPA 1901. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested firms must submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement. Responses are due by 9:00 am EDST on 23 June 2008 via facsimile to 910-451-2331 or by regular mail to the Marine Corps Installation East Contracting Department, P.O. Box 8368, Camp Lejeune, NC 28547-8368. If submitted via courier, the address is Marine Corps Installation East Contracting Department, Bldg. 1116, MCB, Camp Lejeune, NC 28542.
