Description
This project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials necessary for performing Grayback Chip Seal on the Klamath National Forest. Contract work includes minor excavation, placing hot bituminous plant mix, fog seal and chip seal, and provide traffic control including signs and flag persons. PRICE RANGE: between $500,000 and $1,000,000. PROJECT LOCATION: Project is located on the Klamath National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. From Interstate 5 travel west approximately 62 miles on State Highway 96 to Happy Camp. Turn right off the highway onto Davis Road and proceed 0.10 mile to 7C01 (Indian Creek Road). Travel North on County Road 7C01 approximately 11 miles to the beginning of the project just before the bridge over Indian Creek. A pre-proposal tour will not be conducted. Solicitation will be a Request for Proposal requiring both a price and technical proposal responding to the evaluation criteria as stated in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or about June 30, 2008 with proposals due July 30, 2008 close of business at place of proposal opening. CONTRACT TIME: 21 calendar days. ESTIMATED START WORK DATE: June 15, 2009. BONDING is required of the successful offeror at time of award. A bid guarantee is required with offeror's submitted proposal. THIS IS A CASCADING SET ASIDE. Proposals will be accepted by HUBZone Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Small Businesses, and Other Than Small (Large) Businesses. Proposals will be evaluated using a tiered cascading approach: when proposals are received, they will be opened for identification purposes only. The Government will evaluate only those proposals in the first tier (HUBZONE Small Businesses), and exhaust all negotiation efforts before pursuing evaluation and negotiation at the second tier (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses). This will continue through the third tier (Small Businesses) before considering proposals from the fourth and final tier (Other than Small (Large) Businesses). Interested contractors and subcontractors are requested to self-register below to receive email notification of any postings concerning this project, such as amendments.
