Description
This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The U.S. Coast Guard ELC intends to issue a solicitation and award a requirements type contract, with a base year and four (one year) option period for Construction for Deckhouses and Shim Sets used on the 41 Ft. Utility Boats. The deckhouses shall be constructed of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic with a foam core and an exterior and interior gelcoat in accordance with Coast Guard Specification No. P 151-0302, Revision D, dated 4/08. Deckhouses shall be in accordance with the following Specification as delinated in the specification: MIL-R-21607E, MIL-M-43248C, FED-STD-595b, ASTM-D2584, ASTM-D638, ASTM-D3846, ASTM-D-790, ASTM-D-3951, ASTM-D-2583, ASTM-D-570, ASTM-D-2734, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994, and U.S. Coast Guard Drawing No. 41UT-1107-2, REV B.--Total Estimated quantity for this acquisition is 25 each Deckhouses. (This quantity includes the First Article). Estimated quantities per year will be addressed in the solicitation. --This procurement will require the following items to be furnished: Laminating process for approval – Test Plans for approval, First Article Test Report, First Article test unit for approval reports - test plans -Technical support; by phone and on site. - - Warranty period of 12 months after installation or 18 months after receipt of materials. – Delivery to be 210 calendar days for First Article Testing – Production Unit shall be 15 calendar days after approval of test report (60 cal days after issuance of the delivery order). See government-wide numbered notes 1 and 26. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about 8 July 2008. It is the contractor’s responsibility to check FedBizopps on a regular basis for the solicitation and any amendments issued. Contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR). To register in CCR go to www.bpn.gov.
