- This is a notice of intent from the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to contract with Coherent, Inc. at 5100 Patrick Henry Drive P56, Santa Clara, CA 95054-1112 on an other than full and open competitive basis. The contractor shall provide a LPX Pro 220 Excimer Laser for incorporation into a custom laser ablation system. The laser ablation system was custom made for use with the Lambda Physik LPX 210i excimer laser. The LPX 220 excimer laser is closest in specifications to the original Lambda Physik system and meets the requirements for beam size, beam shape, light energy, optical power, gas requirements, beam output location, pulse repetition rate, electrical interface and can be controlled by the existing laser ablation system at the NRL. The required delivery is no later than October 31, 2008. This is not a solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
