Description
THIS REQUIREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERANOWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSB) ONLY. ************************************************************************ The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Eastern Logistics Service Area has a requirement to Provide Armed Security Guard Services at the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Baltimore, Maryland. Services are to commence on or aboutAugust 1, 2008 for an initial period of Two (2) Months or less. Thereare Four (4) One-Year Option Periods. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment (other than Government furnished equipment), uniforms, transportation and supervision to provide armed security guard services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, includingweekends and ten legal holidays. Company must be licensed in the State of Maryland, prior to award, have at a minimum five (5) years experience in armed security guard services. The estimated procurement value for the subject project is estimated between$1,000,000.00 and $1,500,000.00 for the entire contract period. NAICS Code 561612. Only firms who meet the above referenced qualifications may request a Screening Information Request (SIR). Please request under SIR No. DTFAEA-08-R-BALTI. SIR will be available on June 18, 2008. No phone requests will be accepted. Request for SIR's will no longer be accepted after June 20, 2008. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing.
