Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking potential sources to provide Regulated Medical Waste Pickup and Disposal services to the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton VA and the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located at 244 Clearfield Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Contractor is to supply all bags, tags, waste carts and associated material for packaging and transport of all medical waste. These items must meet all federal, state, OSHA and DOT standards for collection, storage and transport of medical waste. The contractor will provide a 24-28 foot DOT approved medical waste trailer (non-refrigerated) that will remain on site and be exchanged with a new trailer each week after the weekly pickup service has been performed. The contractor will also provide, at no additional charge, corrugated cardboard boxes (various sizes available) to accommodate the disposable Chemo and Cytotoxic waste containers which will be sent for incineration at the BMW facility in Mathews; NC. The NAICS code for this procurement is 562211. This is a sources sought notice only. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this notice should include the following: name and address of company/provider, business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8(a), HUB Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business; Veteran Owned Small Business or a Federal Supply Schedule firm. Please include information on Medical Waste services previously performed for any VA Medical Center and/or other government entities to include contract numbers, dates of performance and points of contact. Include any other pertinent information which demonstrates firm's ability to meet the above requirement.
