- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA North Texas Health Care Systems, 4500 S Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas 75216, VISN 17, intends to award an anticipated sole source procurement contract to National Wallcovering Inc, North Little Rock, AR 72113-6612 for the Purchase of Wallcovering for Work Orders, Repairs, and Small Project in Patient Care areas required for safety issues. Havana wallcovering is a copyrighted design of National Wallcovering and as such, may not be duplicated by any other source. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). This procurement is for: Tower Havana Chablis T2-HA-21, 1500 yards and National Wallcovering Tower Havana Mist T2-HA-17, 1500 yards. This procurement will be processed under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition, as a firm-fixed price and FOB: Destination procurement. NAICS Code 424950 applies. Interested parties responding to this notice must response in writing and must provide Name, Address, and telephone number of their company no later than June 12, 2008 at 1:00 pm CST.Responses may be sent to Belinda.Cook@va.gov or mailed to Belinda Cook (90C) at VA North Texas Health Care Systems (VANTHCS); 4500 S Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas 75216 No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements and show convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received the VA North Texas Health Care Systems (VANTHCS), VISN 17 will precede to sole source this requirement to National Wallcovering, Inc. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. THE VA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS OF ANY KIND. THE VA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SOLICIT THESE ITEMS FROM LARGE OR SMALL BUSINESSES, AS APPROPIRATE.
