- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation "PBGC" intends to procure on a full and open competitive basis, investment management services. The investment management organization retained under contract by PBGC must be responsible for providing investment management and potentially custody of five index fund mandates: (1) a passive small capitalization equity index fund, benchmarked to the Dow Jones Wilshire 4500 Index (or reasonable equivalent); (2) a passive core non-U.S. developed markets equity index fund, benchmarked to the MSCI EAFE index (or reasonable equivalent); (3) a passive core Canada equity index fund, benchmarked to the MSCI Canada Index (or reasonable equivalent); (4) a passive core global emerging markets equity fund, benchmarked to the MSCI Emerging Markets Index (or reasonable equivalent); and (5) a passive real estate equity index fund, benchmarked to either the Dow Jones Wilshire Real Estate Securities Index or the Dow Jones Wilshire REIT Index (or reasonable equivalent). Reference the solicitation and earlier annoncement for further information. The period of performance for the base year shall be from time of award through one year with six one-year options for renewal. The solicitation document, including amendments, will be distributed though the www.fbo.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and associated amendments will not be available. The estimated date for release of this solicitation is on or about June 10, 2008.
